Castle Glazing delivered the full glazing scope for the expansion of Franklin Early Childhood School in Gungahlin, ACT, supporting the creation of high-quality educational spaces for the local community.
The project involved the supply and installation of high-performance glazing systems throughout the new learning areas, staff facilities, and shared communal spaces. The scope included fixed glazing, double-glazed units, sliding and hinged doors, and Breezway louvres, all carefully selected for their durability, ventilation capabilities, and thermal efficiency.
A standout feature of the project was the integration of energy-efficient low-E glass, designed to maximise natural light while enhancing internal comfort for students and staff. Combined with AWS commercial framing systems, the glazing solution met stringent educational compliance standards while delivering a clean, contemporary architectural finish.
With a strong focus on both acoustic and thermal performance, Castle Glazing helped create a calm, comfortable, and energy-efficient learning environment. Completed on time and to a high standard, the glazing works played a key role in the successful delivery of this important community-focused development.
