Southside Hydrotherapy Pool
The Southside Hydrotherapy Pool is a new community health facility located next to the Tuggeranong Lakeside Leisure Centre. Purpose-built to support rehabilitation, therapy, and recovery, the centre also includes new crèche facilities and a Changing Places restroom to improve accessibility for all visitors.
Designed by CK Architecture and built by Monarch Building Solutions, the project had a strong focus on accessibility and energy efficiency.
Our scope included external AWS626 fixed windows and AWS52 doors to the hydrotherapy pool and new crèche area, as well as AWS50 internal doors automatic doors providing safe and reliable access to the pool itself.
To meet strict performance requirements, Viridian Climatech Double Glazing was chosen for its excellent energy efficiency and thermal comfort. This ensures the facility maintains a stable indoor environment while reducing energy consumption, aligning with the ACT Government’s focus on sustainability under the Built for CBR program.
Custom Door Installation
One of the standout challenges of the project was the installation of glazing in the Changing Places restroom. With limited space around the ceiling hoist system, our team developed custom solutions to ensure the doors were safe, functional, and fully compliant with accessibility standards.
